We've been busy

We've been so busy the last few days, I haven't had a chance to update the blog. We were glad we were able to see Mary and Jim's beautiful home in Venice before Mary and her parents flew back to the north country. We had a fun evening visiting with family.

My brother, Al, is here for 10 days, so he went with us to explore the beach on Wednesday.

Later that day, Beth and Gary and Paul, Al and I went to watch the Lipizzan Stallions perform at their winter "home" not too far from Venice.

That was fun!

Paul and Al spent yesterday experimenting with shore fishing at Casperson Beach.

They didn't bring home dinner, but had a great time.  They were joined by a heron who watched them closely.

Meanwhile, Beth and I became Bananagram addicts.  I love learning new games!  We all had a great dinner last night on Beth and Gary's lanai under the watchful eye of their resident alligator.

He has his favorite spot right close on the edge of the pond in their backyard.  Our brother, Kent, is back in town, so we will be watching the Vikings game at their home tomorrow. Paul and I had to drive 1,000 miles to find a social life! Talk to you soon.

I have been eagerly waiting for your blog update and it was worth it! Sounds like you are having a great time! I would love to be there! We were without power for 12 hours last night because of the ice storm and it took our dish network receiver down. We won't be able to get it repaired until next Tuesday! YIKES!!! Hope the storm isn't too bad tomorrow so we can see the game at Janet's!

For sure! It is snowing here now so the predictions are right on! The worst is supposed to be tomorrow when the winds accompany the snow! UGH!

Isn't Bananagrams the best? I adore that game! When you & Beth are both back, we need to get my mom down here for a show down! I got double Bananagrams - so double the tiles! It's great for a larger group!

Love the pics - give my love to everyone!

And go Vikes!

Ahhh..the beach looks amazing right now. I really shouldn't complain. We still have weather in the 50-60's...but I sure miss water!!

Looks like you guys are having a great time! That's so great you were able to see so much family :)

And yes, Bananagrams is SO addictive! When we were at the cabin for the week I played solo - a lot. Lisa got me a "Bananagrams Activity Challenge Book"! I Think I'm ready for retirement! ;)
