Let The Seafood Feasting Begin!

Saturday was breezy and overcast, but warm, here in the Tampa area. We did some exploring and checked out E.G. Simmons Park, a Hillsborough County park along the eastern edge of Tampa Bay, across the water from Tampa and St. Pete.  We found great picnic and fishing areas and a campground there.

There must have been a kayak club gathering at the park!

It was a nice way to spend an afternoon.

We much prefer this type of terrain to tourist hot spots.

We stopped at a local produce stand on our way back "home." They also sold seafood there from the boats on Tampa Bay. We couldn't resist and so we cooked grouper out on the patio last night on our George Foreman grill. A little oil, and a sprinkle of salt, pepper and Penzey's Mural of Flavor on the fish and then five minutes on the grill did the job just right! Along with  a great salad with peppers and tomatoes from the stand, we had a feast!

After dinner, we sat under the awning on the patio. Paul had a cigar, we sipped on wine and watched the rain. A perfect ending to a great day!  I just wish Suzanne and Nick were closer. Talk to you soon. I think there is some fresh shrimp calling me!

What peaceful, serene pictures! Makes me relax just looking at them! I have never eaten grouper but it looks wonderful!
